The last couple of days

Hellooooo,
On Saturday morning I got up early and ran 10.5 miles or so. The link is of a map, but I didn't turn a round at the parking lot, I kept going to the next overpass. So I think my run was more like 10.5 not 10.3. Anyway, I don't have time to redo the map. Can't remember my numbers and they have been erased, but I remember that I was a little bit slow for waht I was trying to pace at.

Monday I ran 3.35 miles in 25:15, 7:32 pace and I didn't wear my heart monitor. Tuesday I rant he same 3.35 miles in 24:51, figure out teh pace later if I have time. Avg hr 153, mhr 171. I love to be running outside again and the past few days have been mid 60 gorgeous. Keep on trekking boys, I gotta go to class.

Friday the 13th

I ran 7 miles yesterday. 1.5 mile warm-up at 8:27 pace, 1 mile at 6:40, .5 mile at 8:27, .75 mile at 6:37, .5 mile at 8:30, .75 at 6:31, .5 at 9:00, 1.5 at 8:15. Not exactly what I had planned but all I had the energy for. I was supposed to do 5 laps of a mile at 6:37 pace, etc. What I wanted to do was intervals of 1 mile, 2 x .75, 2 x .50 with progressively declining splits. Last half mile would have been around a 6:15 pace. Maybe next time. My heart rate started hovering at 172 and I just wasn't feeling it.

Well It's been a while . . .

I'm sure we didn't all fall off the face of the earth, but life gets busy. For me that mean only getting to run consistently on Saturdays. And I didn't even get a Saturday when we went to Utah.

Good news is that I have been on the bike trainer a couple of times and I even got into a pool once this week. Unfortunately, it was only the one by my house and not the good one; but something's better then nothing.

I did get out today for six miles and actually felt pretty good about my time. It was 36 seconds faster then last Saturday's time.

Time AHR
8:33 160 bpm
8:44 179 bpm
8:50 187 bpm
8:52 190 bpm
8:48 192 bpm
9:17 193 bpm

I very conscientiously started out easy and just build over time. I think my last mile suffered because my overall mileage is down so much. I really couldn't have got faster for the last one my mhr was 198 bpm.

A fun thing is that I'm only a few weeks away from having my Garmin watch for a year so I'll have a pretty good record of a full year's worth of runs. I'm going to get close to 400 miles for the year.

How about everyone else?
