Today I have spent way too many hours trying to figure out how to best share the maps with you guys as well as be able to look at them later for myself. I know that MotionBased will store them all for me but that costs money and I don't want to go that route. So I looked at a bunch of free options. Here are the ones that I think I like best. 1) Use a lesser-known site called maps.innersource.com that has a clean upload interface but a slightly smaller google map. Looks like they will never delete my posts and I can always access them through my account. Sharing is easy too. This option requires me to export the .gpx or .hst file from MotionBased to work so if I ever want to have the map here I need to download it before MotionBased gets rid of it for me. 2) Use Google Earth's sharing feature which is actually a site at bbs.keyhole.com called Google Earth Community. It gives really nice full maps that can be viewed in either Google Earth or in Google Maps. The only downfall to this option is that it is extremely public and many people are actively looking through the forums and new maps that are posted. One of mine that I posted was literally viewed 13 times in the three hours after I posted it. Map: Hudson Mills
3) Just use MotionBased and realize that the online map will only be available for a few weeks or until I get 9 more routes posted. While it is available it gives you many more stats and links to view it in either Google Earth or Google Maps. It is also a bit strange that you can get so much information without being logged in though. Map: 5-mile Run from home to Lilley Park
I tried one more option that was actually hosting a site myself with my own access to Google's Map service. Unfortunately it's not going to work out so I bagged out on that option. Anyway, let me know what you think!

I just sucks that I haven't run in three weeks. And now I think I might have a sinus infection. I took the B & A camping Friday night and between my standard allergies and how cold I was sleeping I think I picked something up.
As for me I've been quite happy with the MotionBased solution. Sure I can only see the last 10 sessions on a map, but for real analysis I go back to the desktop software anyway.
I'm not to worried about how public it is. Perhaps I'm naive, but I really don't know of many people that have time to track my exercise routines. Hopefully someone will see something I never do and want to coach me. That would be great!
Option one looks like the site John posts to. Option two seems nice because it's a little bit larger. But the analysis of option three is already what I've settled on. And if I ever justify the money they do have all my old runs there. They're just grayed out.
Yeah, I think you are right about just using MotionBased. I think I will also make sure to download the .kml (Google Earth) and the .tcx file for each run though so that I can post it to the other two if I ever feel like it. Maybe I will drop that to just being the .kml though since Google Earth is loaded on my computer and all my tracks are saved there anyway now. It is fun to be able to pull it up and see all of them there. When I get a bunch up maybe I will have to start unchecking the boxes to not display them but it is nice having them all there.

He showed me some stretches to get that straightened out and now we are on to loosening up my hammies and glutes as well as stretching/flexing my back some. Hopefully I can learn what I need to do on a consistent basis so that I don't end up a broken, tired, decrepit old man. My last visit with him he actually popped my lower back a few times as well.
