Early morning run
I did a nice short 6.8 this morning and made it back before anyone else was awake. I had to stop two times to go number two, but other than that the run was decent. My numbers: 54:13, ahr 151, mhr 180. My splits were all between 7:45 and 7:55, so how the heck was my overall pace 7:57? Sure would be nice to have a garmin. You boys get any sun this weekend?

Yep, sun is good. In fact on Friday while Natalie was in having her tennis ball-sized cyst removed from the inside of her left ovary I fell asleep on the grass outside the hospital and burnt the undersides of my arms. Man it felt good to lie outside on the grass and be warm though.
Yesterday I took my 10 year-old brother-in-law Daniel with me on a run with the boys. We each pushed a jogger and I don't think he was liking it very much so we cut the run short. We did 2.5 at about a 9:30 pace. He didn't complain at all the whole time; what a trooper. I kept asking how he was feeling and he would say fine and then when I would push him a bit he would say that he was a little bit tired but no big deal. I offered to stop a couple times but he wouldn't take me up on it. It was fun being out running with him and the little ones though. I look forward to the day when Natalie can do it again. Hopefully when she recovers from her surgery she can stick with her PT exercises and strengthen her leg muscles enough to get back out and run without hurting herself at all. Talk to you later. Mike
