Just take Elly over to the base board, point at it and ask her where the watch went. She'll get the message and you'll get your watch. I hope her little noggin is feeling better.
So tell me more about this treadmill accident. Is it operator error? Or does the school have less than stellar equipment? This is at least the third time you’ve been flying along and had an accident. I keep telling myself that running on a treadmill is as safe as you can get, but you keep proving me wrong.
I ran Wednesday, Thursday, and lifted Friday. Saturday I got up and got my clothes on, but Kristi had me working on the patio before I could escape for a run. We planted four trees and we’ll stick two more in the ground some time this week. We’ll have peaches, nectarines, oranges, lemons, and cumquats. The lady in the ward that’s designing everything with Kristi assures me it’s not too much for our little piece of dirt. I’m trusting her.
Starting tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest I’ll have a new toy to motivate my outdoor runs. I took some money from the tax return and bought the new Forerunner 305. Now I’ll figure out if my five mile run is really five miles or if I’m just slower than I thought. It should be fun to have on hikes as well, and if I ever get on my bike again it’s suppose to have good bike features as well. It was steep at $300, but actually a good value compared to other systems.
Well,it's actually rather ironic how it happened. I was cruising along and was shocked by something on the tv in front of me, a indy car driver ran over three of his pit crew. The first guy to get hit spun like a ragdoll and got pinned under the car. I was freaking upset and so my adrenaline spiked and I apparently ran a little too fast right into the front of the machine (yep, this is the third time), only because this time it was operator error the machine didn't shut off. Which means that I actually have three seperate events. Me hitting the front, me hitting the tread, and me hitting the concrete about 5 feet past the treadmill where it threw me. :)
When will the fruit trees actually produce? Isn't it like 3-5 years or something like that?
Woohoo! The 305, that is fantastic! you will have to let me know how that goes, very exciting.
Good work on the running Jason, I have now settled in nicely to running Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat; lifting upper body 2x a week (days vary), biking Tue and Thur afternoons, and swimming on Tue and Thur nights. I don't get enough sleep anymore because all the working out cuts in on my study time, so of course not studying isn't an option right now...Anyway, I am tired but happy. Oh, we now have high speed dsl, I am stoked.
Most of the trees will bloom this year. The peach and nectarine are bare root trees so they probably won’t get fruit this year and if they don’t it won’t be great. The lady helping us has 42 fruit trees in her back yard that she planted last year. Most of them are in full bloom right now.
I still don’t have my 305. I’m kind of wishing I’d paid the extra $20 to overnight it. It’s so hard to be patient.
Congrats on the dsl. You’ll never go back. Dial up is impossibly slow. I just remembered I need to send you Office 2003. I’ll call Kristi and see if she can get it in the mail today.
And for running I did 2.75 miles on the treadmill this morning. 21:41 (7:53 pace.) I’m running three to four days a week, but my times aren’t getting any faster. My ahr was up today at 174 bpm and max was 194 bpm. I don’t think and can push much harder so hopefully my heart will get up to the task soon. I was very well rested and I ate a good dinner so I don’t have any excuses for being slow, though I could probably loose a couple of pounds. I’m up to 182 lbs. and 19% body fat. I’ve got 11 weeks until my 35th birthday. It would be great to get that 19% back down to 17% or better. Maybe that will be my next goal.
