Finally got some exercise
Hey Jason and John. I am so sorry to hear that things are so hard at the Cherry home. As always you and your family are in our prayers. I look forward to talking to you this weekend. As for the exercise, I actually got out to run on Wednesday morning. I ran for half an hour and didn't keep track of distance at all except for a single mile in the middle where I wanted to see if I could break 7 minutes. Unfortunately I missed by 2 seconds. Bummer. I think the rest of my run was close to an 8 or 8:30 pace. I also got to play some basketball last night which was quite fun. There were only 10 of us that showed up so I got a really good workout from that as well. I was planning on going biking in the morning, but the weather turned sour today and I would rather not destroy trails by riding them when they are muddy. Anyway, I should be going but know that I love you both and think of you often.

This blog's been slow lately. Life can do that to you. But it does sound like everyone is slowly getting back on their feet.
Last week I got all three runs in and Thursday's and Saturday's runs were on my outside route. I think it's about six miles long. Actually I hope it's six miles long because I'm doing it in a little under 50 minutes and I'd hate to think I'm much slower than the 8:10 pace I'm estimating. The weather has been a bit rainy around me, but both Thursday and Saturday where perfect days for a morning run.
I was also able to get in all three lift workouts last week. Unfortunately between staying up late to chat with mom and dad about Yosemite this fall and the whole spring forward thing I just didn't have it in me to get up at 5:30 this morning. Not the best way to start my final lifing week, but I'll try to make it up tonight.
Well I'm at a new cross road. The end of this week finishes my 12 week lift program. My running has definately suffered during this time. Plus I've gained weight, which was one of my goals, but I've gained fat as well. I started the 12 weeks at 17.5% body fat and I'm up to 19% now.
By next Monday I've got to decide on my next cycle. I'm considering a six week routine based on a workout lifting upper body a couple of times a week; lower body every couple of weeks; and running a lot more trying to get my times down to the low 7 minute miles. But I'm very sensative to losing any gains I've made lifting. I'm open to ideas or input if you guys have anything.
Yeah, so I wrote a huge response and published it last night and it is not here this afternoon. That sucks. Keep up the good work men. I had a great swim on Tuesday and I hope tonight goes as well. I am only lifting twice a week now, but I am running 3-4 times, swimming 2 times, and biking 2x. Well, starting next week I will add the biking.
