Back at it

I got up at 5:08, after a horrendous night of "sleep", so called. It was so stormy last night that the thunder was shaking the house. Hard to sleep, but I got up and went to the gym anyway and had a great chest workout. Did 10-8-6-4 rep sets for incline, decline, flat bench and butterflies. Up to 65 on decline and incline, 70 on flat. I did machine flies today, 140 lbs, 8 times (instead of 4, because I felt so good). Today was speed day and I took it easy by just running a mile, normally I would do a few sets but I needed to get ready for class. THM is that I ran faster than I would have done otherwise. 6:24, ahr 165, mhr176, means I can go faster. The treadmill only goes up to 10.0 mph which is a 6:00 pace. I held that for several minutes but would have pushed it down to 5:30 for the last 1/4 mile if I could have. I think there is one machine up there that goes to 10.5 mph but I need to check on that.

THM? - Totally Hot Mustard; To The Max; Thank Heavens Man; Today's Hit Moment; Too Hip Memories; sorry I'm not getting it. I just can't keep u with the lingo of this new younger generation.

5:08 That's early! Especially if didn't really get to sleep well. We slept until 5:30 then did upper body. Hit all my weight goals for lifting this morning except for Biceps. I'm not getting huge, but I'm making steady progress. I'll try another max on bench this Saturday probably.

You're getting scream'n fast. 11.0 mph is a 5:27 pace which would have cut almost 10 seconds off your time. That's pretty close to a 6:00 mile on a bad nights rest. You're my hero.

Take Home Message. NOt new generation, old school generation. I had a teacher in Freshman year of college who would always say THM. Sorry about that. Let me know what your max bench ends up at.
