Wednesday and turkey day

I ran 8 miles on wednesday and my average pace was 7:26 per mile, ahr 160, mhr 177. Felt good but I am very sore today. But not sore enough for me stay at home today and watch football. Mike, Eddie, and I played 36 holes of frisbee disc golf at a sweet course near my house. We took about 2 hours to play the first 18 and ran the last 18 in about 45 minutes. Great workout and a lot of fun. I won the first game and Mike won the second but we all had fun. Happy thanksgiving.

Wednesday I did my easy three miles. Supposed to keep it at a 10:23 pace, but did 9:45; it’s hard to run slower than that. Then I played football on Thursday with the Elder’s quorum. Came home stuck a turkey in the oven then laid down for a nap. Woke up and it was done, and so was I. I can’t believe how sore I am. This old man stuff is really getting to me.

Wore my heart rate monitor to bed last night and had a slightly high average rate at 73 bpm. I’m supposed to do a tempo run tonight, but I’m also going to mountain bike tomorrow so I’m considering taking off the run. I’m wondering if the heart rate doesn’t mean I need to take a little break.

Thanksgiving itself was nice; mostly boring to be honest after the football game. Mom and dad got her about 30 hours late which means they walked through the door and we ate. Then we sat around and chatted until 11’ish. We talked about going to the beach today, but will likely do it tomorrow. Sure miss you guys.

We miss you a ton Jason, and I know exactly how you feel. This getting old stuff sucks. Talk to you soon. Have fun mountain biking tomorrow. Where are you going?
