It's been a while

Wow, I didn't realize it had been two weeks since I wrote anything. Life has been busy. I am really into the final push for this triathlon and preparing for my final exams as well. I had two weeks of exams (hence the disappearing act), sorry about the hiatus. I have been running 5 times a week, swimming twice, playing basketball on Thursdays and biking every tuesday. This is the last week for lifting weights until after the tri is over, tomorrow being my last workout. I am pretty frustrated right now, all my times are crap, for everything, except biking which I am only doing once a week. I don't like this program that I am doing at the moment and will definitely reevaluate fo the the next time I do a tri. Anyway, I saw X-Men III tonight, it was...unexpected but good. Hope things are going well with your search Jason. Mike, how does your schedule look right now? On Monday or Tuesday can you help me install some programs and figure out the router, etc?

Way Dawn Runs are Better than Dusk Runs

I've never run through a swarm of gnats on a dawn run. That's reason enough. Didn't make it out this morning so I decided to take a break from working on my resume by getting a run in.

First mile was 7:31 vs. yesterday morning's 7:26. Second mile was 8:23 vs. 8:16. Third mile was 8:27 vs. 8:08. Then it got bad. I don't think the gnats gave me cramps, but I hit the gnats and the cramps hit me in mile four. Finished up at 38:54 or 54 seconds slower than yesterday morning. AHR=178 and MHR=192; Average pace was 8:22

It was good to get out. The break was a nice one, but now it's back to work.

Saturday Run

Beautiful day. I ran 7 miles in 51:17, pace is 7:19, ahr 153, mhr 168. Ran on the Duck Creek trail and felt great the entire run. I could have run for a few more miles but am tring to stick to this plan that I have come up with and not push it too much. Next week long run is 8 miles though.
