Back at it!

Alright everyone it’s time to get back at it! I know we’re all busy, well okay you guys are busy and I’m just looking for a job. It’s no excuse. Let’s start running and blogging about it!

Last week I ran 13 miles: six on Monday; five’ish on Wednesday; and two on Friday. Swam on Tuesday and Thursday and took off the weekend. This week I’m off to a good start with six for Monday as well. And I dropped a minutes off my run this week. I ran at night so it was cooler and I’m sure that helped. My miles were 8:24, 8:35, 9:01, 8:56, 8:44, and 8:51. AHR – 177 bpm and a max of 190 bpm.

Bad news is that I ate half a gallon of ice cream over the weekend. Good news is I didn’t throw my hands up as won the Chicago marathon then slip and crack my skull. Did everybody see that? Ouch!

What, I had no idea, the winner slipped and fractured his skull? Definitely will be looking that one up.

Good work today Jason. I am planning to bike for an hour or so on the trainer, but my average heart rate will hover around 145 tonight most likely. I biked yesterday on the trainer for about 30 minutes, 20 minutes on Saturday, and 60 minutes on Friday. Last week I didn't get to swim but I biked on Tuesday and Friday (both on the trainer @ night), and ran about 12 miles for the week. The exciting highlight was my frigid run in shorts and a tshirt where I ran a 6:53 first mile because I was so cold. My heart rate hit 173 going downhill and I couldnt feel my hands at all.
